The Sun City Softball Club celebrated the groundbreaking for its new clubhouse project Nov. 24. There were more than 100 participants present during the event and a special shovel was handmade with a softball bat as the handle.
Mark’s Valley Demo Team started the demolition Nov. 27 and Porter Construction will start construction soon, with a completion date scheduled within six months.
League play will continue while construction is underway.
Those on hand celebrated the event with an after-Thanksgiving potluck social and a pickup softball game with family and friends.
