Sun City rec centers budget on hold

Board rejects proposal

It will be back to Recreation Centers of Sun City management for the 2023 corporate budget.

The board rejected the Finance and Budget Committee’s recommendation for the 12-month calendar year budget starting Jan. 1. The proposal included a $29 increase in the annual assessment, from $496 to $525, and that was a major obstacle for the majority of board members.
“We are all dealing with inflation, this increase is too much,” said Karen McAdam, board member. “I will oppose this motion because we are in the most flush cash position we have been in in 60 years.”
