Proud Residents Independently Donating Essential Services is a mouthful, and does not entirely describe this long-standing Sun City group’s function.
More commonly known as the Sun City PRIDES, the group is a little known part of the community experience. In an attempt to make their efforts and goals more well known, the PRIDES will host an open house noon-3 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 2 at Sundial Center, 14801 N. 103rd Ave. The event is also an opportunity for interested residents to get involved in the group.
“This event is open to the residents of Sun City for the purpose of education and recruitment of volunteers,” said Deborah Douglas, PRIDES Education Committee lead.
