As part of a year-long celebration of the agency’s 50 years of service, the Sun City Posse hosted April 8 a public open house.
In addition to tours of Posse headquarters, 10861 W. Sunland Drive, visitors were entertained by the Lone Mountain Band, reviewed new Posse merchandise and visited with Sun City Fire and Medical Department and Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office personnel who were on hand with a fire engine and the District 3 traffic enforcement car.
For younger visitors there were games and a bouncy house.
There was a steady stream of visitors throughout the 3-hour event.
A second open house is planned for the fall and monthly activities are conducted for Posse volunteers.
