Sun City Players set to kick off season

After a three-month summer break, the Sun City Players Community Theater Company kicks off its fall general meeting 7 p.m. Monday, Sept. 18, at the Mountain View Recreation Center, 9749 N. 107th Ave.
group will present a special performance of a one-act play “The Game Show”, written and directed by member Phyllis Ambrose. All RCSC cardholders and their guests are invited. The club provides a variety of ways to learn and experience all facets of the theatrical arts.
In addition to monthly membership meetings on the third Monday, from September through May, the club continues to offer clubhouse workshops, pot luck dinners and the annual winter holiday party.
The two major plays this season will be “Ripcord” Oct. 27-29 and Nov. 3-5 and “The Cemetery Club” March 15-17 and March 22-24, 2024. Season tickets are on sale at suncityplayers.org, for $15 each or $25 for both shows. A “Winterfest Variety Show” is Nov. 30, Dec. 1 and Dec. 3, with free admission (donations are appreciated).
