Sun City officials working to drain lake by Nov. 21

Doubling the amount of water removed

Pacific Aquascapes and Recreation Centers of Sun City officials doubled the amount of water being pumped out of Viewpoint Lake.

They reported the water level in the man-made lake was down by seven feet. Officials set a new date of Monday, Nov. 21 for the expectation of the lake to be fully drained. But in a report during the Nov. 7 RCSC member/board exchange meeting, Bill Cook, RCSC general manager, said it was expected sediment removal and work on the banks was expected to start in December.

Cook also reported 10 million gallons of water have been pumped out of the lake since Oct. 28.
