With its 50th anniversary approaching, the Sun City Sundial Men’s Club showcased its goodwill once again by helping out community members in need, with a $5,000 donation to the Sun City Foundation. The check was presented to Recreation Centers of Sun City board president Kat Fimmel and board director Steve Collins, who serve on the Foundation commission.

“The Men’s Club is a great way to get away and relax, to meet new friends and celebrate Sun City - but more importantly, it is a way for those who love our community to provide support to neighbors who need it most,” said Fred Schweer, the public relations manager for the club. “We don’t want to lose a single member from being able to enjoy our club, or any of the amenities or experiences that make our lives so much more meaningful by living in Sun City and utilizing the RCSC.”

The Foundation is a nonprofit organization developed to help RCSC members who have outlived their savings, to cover annual property assessments so the members can continue to enjoy the amenities and quality of life that makes Sun City unique. The Foundation also connects members to community resources to support their needs, allowing for enhanced quality of life by remaining active and social.

The Sun City Men’s Club is planning a 50th anniversary that the group will soon announce.
