With recent COVID-19 cases rising again, Friends of the Sun City Libraries officials instituted some safety changes in it used book store.
Volunteers at Books Around the Corner, 16828 N. 99th Ave., are now required to wear face masks and patrons are encouraged, but not required, to do the same. However, at this point there are no plans to close the store again.
The store, located inside the Sun City branch library operated by the Maricopa County Library District, closed for nearly a year beginning in March 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. When the store reopened in May this year, sales were brisk.
