Sun City lake water level continues to recede

Slowed slightly by monsoon rain

While it may not be obviously perceptible, the water level in Viewpoint Lake continues to go down.

Three straight weekends of monsoon rains in the area added some water back into the man-made lake, 10626 W. Thunderbird Blvd. Once fully drained, Aquascape crews will begin removing sludge and other items from the lake, followed by removing the existing liner.

Once that work is done, the lake bed will be prepared for the installation of the new liner. Aquascape and Recreation Centers of Sun City officials continue to meet this month with individual property owners along the lake front to brief them on what needs to be done on their properties.
