Sun City residents will begin to see the water level at Viewpoint Lake dropping drastically in the next few weeks at the liner repair project kicked into gear last week.
Lake shore property owners will be meeting individually with Recreation Centers of Sun City and Aquascape officials to learn what needs to be done on their properties to prepare for the work once the lake is completely drained. Those individual meeting were to begin this week and continue through August, according to Bill Cook, RCSC general manager. Fencing was erected around the lake last week, including 6-foot chain link in public areas and 48-inch orange construction fence on residential properties.
Residents are expected to receive documents Friday, July 15 that outline the work needed on their properties and meetings with officials will follow. Documents will be sent to residents’ main address listed with RCSC and to alternate addresses for winter visitor residents.
