More items can be seen.

Viewpoint Lake in Sun City continues its slow drain toward getting a new liner.

With virtually no rain in recent weeks, the water level has dropped significantly. Recreation Centers of Sun City and Pacific Aquascapes officials remain hopeful the lake can be completely drained by the end of September. If not, it should be drained by early-October.

Once drained, work will begin to remove the sludge and other items on the lake bottom and the old liner.
