Sun City lake dirt on the move

Hauling began this week

Dirt is on the move at Viewpoint Lake in Sun City.

After numerous delays caused by rain, the dirt and sediment piled up in the dry lake bottom started to be hauled out this week. Earth-moving truck were loaded and headed out beginning Monday, Feb. 27, to dispose of the soil.

But not before another slight delay due to rain falling again Feb. 22 in the community, according to Bill Cook, Recreation Centers of Sun City general manager.
