Sun City lake continues slow drain

Water level down by more than half

The draining of Viewpoint Lake continues in preparation for work to replace the liner.

According to the September Recreation Centers of Sun City management report, the lake water level had gone down to 5.3 feet by Sept. 13. It was reported in an update meeting earlier this year that the deepest point of the lake is 10 feet.

As the lake drains further, it will be more noticeable.
