As dirt is getting hauled out of Viewpoint Lake, the bottom is getting flattened.
The flat surface, seen here at Hillside Park near Lakeview Center, 10626 W. Thunderbird Blvd., is necessary to place the new liner. Pacific Aquascape officials started the flattening in this area because the work will be done in three phases.
Once the phases is cleared, installing the liner and concrete banks will begin.
Once the first phase is complete, they will transition to the second, and then the third.
