The feasibility study to determine whether the Sun City Fire District should merge with another entity is expected to get started in October.
The SCFD board selected Emergency Services Consulting International to do a feasibility study for mergers. Rob Schmitz, Sun City acting fire chief, conducted the final negotiations with the company’s representatives.
“We are still working with the company to set the scope of the study,” Schmitz said. “Their work load on other projects is backed up to October.”
