The Sun City Fire and Medical District Board of Directors will discuss the 2017-18 proposed budget during a special meeting this morning.

The board will meet 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, May 9 at the administrative office, 18602 N. 99th Ave. The meeting is open to the public.

The budget will be presented by district Finance Director Gabe Baldra. The budget is not scheduled for a vote during today's meeting.

The board will also discuss equipment issues, including replacement of items stolen from Station 131, 17017 N. 99th Ave. The discussion will include insurance reconciliation, and the item is scheduled for possible board action. The board will also discuss a proposed purchase of four new Kia Soul vehicles as replacements for the fire prevention fleet. The funds for this purchase will come from bond proceeds and will not exceed $75,000. This items is also scheduled for possible action.
