Sun City Country Club program for kids hits milestone

Golf instructor Kent Chase, back to camera, talks to kids getting a lesson in the Golf Program in Schools’ monthly community fun day Saturday, April 19 at Sun City Country Club. Among them, in the green hat, is Jensen Ramsey, the 50,000th kid to learn the game through GPS.

He was the 50,000th kid to learn to play golf through Golf Program in Schools Inc.

Or the 49,999th. Jensen Ramsey and his sister, Sadie, are very much a package deal.

Ashley and Jeb Ramsey’s kids started attending the GPS program’s monthly community fun days at Sun City Country Club about a year and a half ago. Ashley, Jensen and Sadie were there April 19 to celebrate the milestone and the game the kids now love.
