The Friends of the Sun City Libraries used bookstore is under new management.
Books Around the Corner, 16828 N. 99th Ave., is now managed by Cathy Weyers. She stepped up to take the volunteer assignment following the resignation of Pam Danneman.
The store is the major fundraiser for the Friends of the Sun City Libraries, which provides assistance to the two community libraries managed by the Maricopa County Library District. Jessica Potter-Slider, Friends treasurer, reported the book store earned $2,560 in profits in February. Combined with the $1,197 earned in January, that puts the store on pace to make more than $22,000 for 2023.
