Sun City assessment fee increase passes first reading

Money would be used to offset higher prices

The Recreation Centers of Sun City Inc. board passed the first reading of an increase in the annual property assessment at during its meeting Thursday.

The increase of $50 would raise the assessment to $575.

Kevin McCurdy, RCSC director of finance, in his presentation on the budget said the potential assessment fee increase in is a way to keep up with the inflation rate and pay for necessary expenses.
