There were times when the late Marv Worthen, former Sun City Community Assistance Network executive director, was ready to throw in the towel for the agency.
But those moments passed and he threw himself fully into keeping the community service organization alive and ready to serve, according to Hugh Duncan, Sun City CAN president. Now Sun City CAN officials and volunteers are celebrating the 10th anniversary as a standalone agency. They remain ready to provide the varied programs and services that built up over the years.
Like the history of Sun City CAN, even before it operated under that name, there will be challenges.
