Study: New interchange would connect U.S. 60 drivers in Surprise

MAG’s Grand study projects massive influx of cars by 2050

It is not news to anyone that residential and commercial growth in the northwest Asante area of Surprise is outpacing road infrastructure.

The area was home to nearly 37,000 residents during the 2020 U.S. Census count, but Maricopa Association of Governments projections show that number is expected to skyrocket toward 250,000 people by 2050.

MAG officials have worried that because there is only one practical way in and out of the neighborhood, an already bad traffic situation will get significantly worse.
