Students in Scottsdale Unified show improvements in state and national tests

Board members look to continue support for struggling students

Student test scores are on the rise in Scottsdale Unified School District based on its most recent data; however, staff and board members still hold concerns for certain subject areas where students continue to struggle.

In a report prepared by district staff, including Associate Superintendent Karen Benson, the governing board received districtwide data from the previous school year on state and national standardized testing scores at its Oct. 4 meeting.

During the 2021-22 school year, Scottsdale Unified students outperformed their peers in the county, state and nation in terms of test scores, according to the district’s latest academic update.
