Student makes apparent ‘threat’ against Peoria school, staff members

Extra safety support on hand today at Terramar

Peoria police are investigating a threat allegedly made by a student on social media against Terramar Academy of the Arts and three of its staff members.

Principal Sharon Wieser on Tuesday morning sent a letter to school families explaining that police overnight had investigated the threat and interviewed a Terramar student. Investigators say that the student will face charges and will not be at school today.

Deer Valley Unified School District is providing additional safety support on the campus at 7000 W. Happy Valley Road this morning.
