Student arrested for social media shooting threats to McClintock High School

Tempe Police Department has made an arrest following its investigation of a school shooting threat at McClintock High School that was posted on social media March 20.

Tempe Union High School District alerted McClintock families of the post in a series of emails sent starting Monday evening. The Daily Independent received a copy of the district’s correspondence on this issue.

The first email reassured parents that police were notified and there would be an elevated police presence on campus the following day.
