Street safety, improvements among items to consider for Glendale city council

Glendale streets — their safety in particular — will get a lot of attention at Tuesday night’s city council voting meeting.

Among the requests council will consider will be paying for design services to add a right turn lane near State Farm Stadium at 83rd Avenue and Bethany Home Road

The city’s engineering department reports a right turn lane on the southeast corner of the intersection (northbound 83rd Avenue to eastbound Bethany Home Road) “will reduce congestion during high volume traffic and improve overall safety.”
