An 18-station story walk showing pages from a picture book with titles changed out as needed is planned at Prospector Park in Apache Junction.
The Apache Junction Public Library learned recently that it was awarded an $8,090 grant through the state library for the story walk.
“And what that’s going to pay for is for us to install 18 aluminum posts and flush-mounted aluminum frames that will hold the pages of the books at Prospector Park. They will have acrylic over them to protect them from damage,” Library Director Pam Harrison said at a recent meeting of the Library Board of Trustees.
