Stillwater Superstition apartments planned in Mesa

Two commercial buildings are to be removed and replaced with a 375-unit Stillwater Superstition apartment complex west and south of the southwest corner of Hampton and Clearview avenues in Mesa.

The Mesa Planning and Zoning Board on Sept. 8 voted unanimously in a consent agenda with other items to recommend the council approve a council use permit, site plan review and rezoning 17.5 acres from limited commercial with a planned-area development overlay to limited commercial with a PAD, with Vice Chair Deanna Villanueva-Saucedo absent.

The city council will make the final decision at a future meeting.
