State Land Department postpones auction of 1,099 acres in Goodyear

Samsung reportedly considering Duncan Family Farms site for semiconductor plant

Those wondering who will purchase 1,099 acres of state-owned land in Goodyear will have to wait at least another month for the results.

The Arizona State Land Department had planned to auction the land near Perryville Prison at 9 a.m. today, April 21, but the auction date has been changed to May, Public Information Officer Dave Cherry said via email.

“The auction was postponed until May 19, 2021, at 9 a.m. at the same location in the ASLD building,” Mr. Cherry wrote in response to an Independent Newsmedia query. “No further public information is available about this postponement.”
