The Arizona Department of Environmental Quality has issued an ozone high pollution advisory for Thursday, May 11, requiring several restriction at homes and businesses.
Restrictions include:
Wood burning in residential fireplaces, chimeneas, outdoor fire pits and similar outdoor fires is prohibited in Maricopa County. It includes individuals and businesses with permits for open burning.
Employees and contractors of government entities are prohibited from operating leaf blowers. Residents are encouraged to avoid leaf blowing.
Off-road vehicle use should be avoided.

The Arizona Department of Environmental Quality has issued an ozone high pollution advisory for Thursday, May 11, requiring several restriction at homes and businesses.

Wood burning in residential fireplaces, chimeneas, outdoor fire pits and similar outdoor fires is prohibited in Maricopa County. It includes individuals and businesses with permits for open burning.
Employees and contractors of government entities are prohibited from operating leaf blowers. Residents are encouraged to avoid leaf blowing.

State officials also said county residents should drive as little as possible.
