State board OKs US 60 widening, Phoenix interchange work in 5-year plan

PHOENIX – The State Transportation Board has approved a five-year construction plan that includes three project to improve travel in portions of Maricopa County.

The 2027-2031 Five-Year Transportation Facilities Construction Program emphasizes pavement and bridge improvements and expanding several key highways throughout Arizona.

In Maricopa County, the five-year program, approved June 19, lists projects planned in conjunction with the Maricopa Association of Governments that  include:
