Stand Up for Veterans coming to Glendale to aid those who served

The 10th annual Stand Up for Veterans event will take place from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 14 at Arizona Christian University, 1 W. Firestorm Way, in Glendale.
The gathering provides ample opportunities for veterans to access services tailored to their life experiences and needs in a central location. Assistance on site will be provided by legal services, government agencies, community organizations, educational opportunities, and employers.
Past employers at Stand Up for Veterans include companies ranging from AAA Landscaping to Vitalant. Approximately 50 employers participated in the Stand Up for Veterans event in 2022.

Primary funding for Stand Up for Veterans is administered by the Sandy Coor Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1433. With full support of Arizona Christian University and their willingness to accommodate the event, veterans can receive a multitude of services in one place.

On-site representatives conduct interviews at the event, and work alongside more than 50 veteran service organizations that provide free information.
