Stage Left announces new season lineup, first in Glendale

West Valley community theater celebrating 10 years in 2025

West Valley community theater Stage Left Productions will celebrate not only its 10th anniversary when its new season opens in January but also its new home in Glendale.

The milestone season will open Friday, Jan. 10 when Stage Left brings to life “Grand Horizons,” a story that depicts how 50 years into her marriage to Bill, Nancy wants a divorce. While her husband seems unfazed by the decision, her two adult sons are shaken to the core, forced to reexamine everything they thought they knew about their parents’ outwardly happy lives.

The show runs through Feb. 2.

The new Stage Left located is at 5930 W. Greenway Road, Suite 1A, in Glendale. The theater previously spent nine years in Surprise.

“When we went to discuss renewing our current lease the price was just way too high for us,” said Stage Left artistic director Cody Dull, who will also direct “Grand Horizons.” “It would have been going up well beyond what we could afford. I am a resident of Glendale and have been for 10 years. I like the location.”

The new location will feature a 60-65 seat theater.

The upcoming season at Stage Left will be a busy one.

Following “Grand Horizons,” the 2025 lineup will include “The Cottage” (Feb. 21-March 16); “Truce” (April 4-27); “The Almost Totally True Story of Hansel and Gretel” (May 1-24); “The Outsiders” (June 5-14); “The Miss Firecracker Contest” (July 11-Aug. 3); “George Washington Ate My Homework” (Sept. 4-13); “The Rocky Horror Show” (Oct. 10-31); “Honk Jr.” (Nov. 13-22); “A Seussified Christmas Carol” (Nov. 29-Dec. 20); and “Who's Holiday” (Dec. 3-21).
