Some Glendale city staff could start moving into temporary sites as soon as January in anticipation of the Downtown Campus Reinvestment Project.
City Manager Kevin Phelps at Tuesday’s afternoon council workshop provided updates on the project that started as a $70 million renovation and more recently has a new budget of $72+ million, according to the city. The project encompasses the revitalization of city hall plus the adjacent E. Lowell Rogers Amphitheatre and Murphy Park as well as the campus’ parking structure.
Glendale’s city hall was constructed in 1984.
