St. Vincent de Paul opens medical clinic in East Valley for uninsured patients

St. Vincent de Paul recently hosted a ribbon-cutting ceremony celebrating the opening of its new East Valley Medical Clinic in Mesa, which comes as thousands of Arizonans get priced out of steeper health insurance premiums.

SVdP transformed a previous thrift store at 2352 W. Main St. into the 10,100-square-foot charity medical clinic to help meet the growing need. The clinic has 18 exam rooms, a small laboratory, medication dispensary and two procedure rooms, according to a relase.

The East Valley Medical Clinic marks the expansion of SVdP’s collaborative charity clinic model, bringing together volunteer medical professionals alongside health care partners, universities and their students to fill a critical gap in the health care system by providing quality care for uninsured and underserved patients while strengthening the future health care workforce.
