SRP’s water workshops offer money-saving incentive

Free online workshops will take place this week where participants can learn how to conserve water.

The sessions will include advice and tips from water professionals and the opportunity to purchase a discounted irrigation controller following the workshop, according to Salt River Project, which is sponsoring the event.

Each class has the same agenda:

Segments include:

  • SRP Historian – SRP's history as a water and power provider will be discussed.
  • Surface Water Resources – Learn about the strategies and practices SRP uses to maintain water supplies.
  • Measurement Services – Explore how Arizona's water and snow are monitored and measured.
  • Forest Restoration Partnerships – Learn about the SRP Healthy Forest Initiative and how SRP is working with partners on forest restoration projects to ensure water for Central Arizona.
  • Canal Multiple Use – Discover the history of the canal system and how SRP continues to work with communities.
  • New Water Resiliency Projects – Learn about the Bartlett Modification Project and other SRP projects.
  • Water Conservation – Get tips on how to conserve water at home.
