With the help of an underwater drone, divers on Thursday morning recovered the body of a man who drowned overnight in Tempe Town Lake.
The Salt River Project drone assisted in finding the body so Tempe Fire and Medical Rescue's dive team could recover the man, who has not been identified.
On Wednesday night, police and fire department units went to the lake after a witness called to report seeing an individual in the water who did not resurface, according to a release from the Tempe Police Department.
Tempe Fire and Medical Rescue personnel continued searching Town Lake on Thursday morning for the victim, police said.
