SRP customers could see bill increase

Salt River Project customers could see a rate hike as early as November to help recoup the costs of fuel for generating stations and supplemental power.

The measure must be approved by the SRP board Monday, Sept. 12, for the rate hike to be implemented.

“The proposed increases along with the significant forgo of collection will result in an average $5.58 increase in the average residential customer’s monthly bill,” said SRP Spokeswoman Patty Garcia-Likens.
