In the summer months, often the slowest time of the year for small businesses in Arizona, Melissa Harlan pays thousands of dollars for power in the summer months for her small business.
This is one of the many reasons she’s running for the Salt River Project’s District 8 Board of Governors. Also running is Nina Mullins, a former SRP employee and one of the many candidates endorsed by Turning Point Action, a conservative political action committee based in Phoenix.
Harlan owns Drink Me! Tea Room in South Tempe at Warner and McClintock. Harlan previously worked for Southwest Airlines and Disney and hopes to take her corporate and business experiences to negotiate on behalf of thousands of Arizona households.
