Due to the high temperatures during this excessive heat wave, Salt River Project and the Arizona Public Service Co., the state’s two largest power utilities, are reporting some record-breaking energy use.
Both SRP and APS service hundreds of thousands of customer across the Valley.
The abnormally high summer temperatures that have seen the region with temps above 110 degrees Fahrenheit for 21 days has cerated a higher demand for many residents as they are finding themselves inside with constant air conditioning flowing for longer periods of time.
