Queen Creek banks on SR24 connections to improve traffic, boost economy

Queen Creek commuters will get some much-needed relief next year when State Route 24 goes out to Ironwood Road.

But that’s not all.

“We are at the same time going to connect Signal Butte to the 24 working with the city of Mesa, and we're also going to connect Meridian Road to the 24 in partnership with Pinal County,” said Troy White, capital improvement projects department director for Queen Creek. “So once the 24 opens in August and we have Signal Butte connected, we have Meridian connected and then it's connected to Ironwood, it is going to significantly improve the traffic for not only Queen Creek but the whole Southeast Valley.”
