Some Arizona sport stars will be part of this weekend’s grand opening celebration for the new Dick’s Sporting Goods in Surprise.
Phoenix Suns guard Grayson Allen, Arizona Diamondbacks outfielder Corbin Carroll and former Arizona Cardinals wide receiver Anquan Boldin will be on hand at 13030 N. Prasada Parkway for the festivities, which run from Friday, July 26 to Sunday, July 28.
Allen will be first to appear between 6 and 7:30 p.m. July 26. Carroll will be available to meet from 10 to 11:30 a.m. Saturday, July 27. And Boldin will be on hand from noon to 1:30 p.m. July 28.
All three athletes will be available for autographs for the first 150 shoppers. The store will issue wristbands on location on a first-come, first-served basis, beginning at 9 a.m. for the Friday and Saturday sessions and 10 a.m. for Sunday. Wristbands are required to attend the appearance and receive an autograph.
In addition to the athletes, Dick’s plans kickoff celebrations that will last throughout the weekend, including giveaways and a ribbon-cutting celebration at 8:45 a.m. on July 26.
The Dick’s Grand Challenge includes photo ops, trivia, games and more and the weekend will include mystery gift cards and sweepstakes.

The Surprise location will feature:
- Team sports offerings of baseball, softball, soccer, football, lacrosse and hockey that have evolved to deliver a one-stop shop.
- House of Cleats, a 360-degree view of over 400 athlete choices for cleats across multiple sports.Z
- An expanded premium footwear selection.
- Multiple golf hitting bays with TrackMan technology.
