Preliminary information indicates a sports car traveling more than 130 mph caused a crash that killed two Feb. 13 in Queen Creek, police said.
The collision occurred near the intersection of Riggs and Ellsworth roads when the sports car collided with another eastbound passenger vehicle, police said. The driver of the sports car then lost control, crossed into westbound lanes and collided head-on with a car headed west.
Kyle Campbell, the 20-year-old driver of the sports car and its only occupant, was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.
