The Tempe Family YMCA will have its 5th Annual Spooky Sprint 5K, a mix of fitness, fun, and fright, on Oct. 28.
More than 300 runners are expected for the 8:30 a.m. start at the Western Canal, next to the Tempe Family YMCA, 7070 S. Rural Road, according to event organizers.
The Spooky Sprint 5K invites participants to run along the Western Canal in their spookiest, funniest or most creative costumes.
Runners will travel a "down-and-back" route alongside the canal between Guadalupe and Elliot roads.
