Speedway Motors Southwest Nationals returns to WestWorld of Scottsdale

Goodguys Rod & Custom Association, organizer of car shows across the United States, will be returning to WestWorld of Scottsdale for its final event of the 2022 season, the 25th Speedway Motors Southwest Nationals.

According to a press release, the event will showcase the winners of the Goodguys “Top 12 of the Year Awards, presented by Meguiar’s” including Muscle Machine of the Year, actor Kevin Hart’s 1969 Plymouth Road Runner, as well as the Goolsby Customs Next Generation National Champion, 19-year-old Conner Wick of Auburn, Wash., and his homebuilt 1967 Chevy G10 van.

It will also feature the final shootouts for the AutoCross racing series, including “Duel in the Desert” and “King of the Desert,” and the announcement of this year’s CPP AutoCrosser of the Year.

Goodguys Rod & Custom Association, organizer of car shows across the United States, will be returning to WestWorld of Scottsdale for its final event of the 2022 season, the 25th Speedway Motors Southwest Nationals.

According to a press release, the event will showcase the winners of the Goodguys “Top 12 of the Year Awards, presented by Meguiar’s” including Muscle Machine of the Year, actor Kevin Hart’s 1969 Plymouth Road Runner, as well as the Goolsby Customs Next Generation National Champion, 19-year-old Conner Wick of Auburn, Wash., and his homebuilt 1967 Chevy G10 van.

There will be experiences for the whole family such as live entertainment, local food and vendors, a free Kid Zone, burnout competition, thousands of custom hot rods, muscle cars, restored classics and trucks of all years on display, and much more, the release added.

The Southwest Nationals will be held Friday, Nov. 18 and Saturday, Nov. 19 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., as well as on Sunday, Nov. 20 from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.

General admission is $25. Children aged seven to 12 are $10, and those younger than that are free. Parking at WestWorld is $10. Tickets can be purchased at the gate or online.
