The local hospital is celebrating a major milestone in Sun City West.
The Rocking Grannies spend volunteer hours rocking newborn babies for years at Banner Del E. Webb Medical Center, 14502 W. Meeker Blvd, which brings a multi-generational environment to the facility. Twenty years ago, Banner Del E. Webb’s maternity unit had the first delivery of twins at the medical center on February 2, 2002. Brittney Collyar, nursing director of women and infant services, has been at Banner Del E. Webb for the past two years and said this facility brings a unique experience to the West Valley, with patients choosing Banner Del E. Webb to give birth from all over Arizona.
“We offer a home birth experience in a hospital setting,” she explained.
