The Community of Women business referral group will host Sally Marks, a motivational speaker and co-author of the book, “Erase Negativity and Embrace the Magic Within,” in January as she guides members on how to go on a “negativity diet.”

The luncheon is 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 11, at Mimi’s Cafe, 2800 W. Chandler Blvd. in Chandler.

The talk is free to members and $20 for guests. Register at  communityofwomen.org/events.

The interactive talk will include an overview of the impact of negativity, practical steps on how to embrace a happier life, as well as a short question-and-answer session.

“Sally’s book and message aligns with Community of Women’s philosophy of promoting and empowering women’s personal development based on ‘The Laws of Attraction’ books,” Lena Morrissey, president of Community of Women, said in the release. “We look forward to hearing her insights on erasing negativity and embracing a happier life.”

Marks’ 30-minute talk will include tips from her book, “Erase Negativity and Embrace the Magic Within.” The book, co-written with Jacqueline Howard, is described as a practical guide on how to reduce negativity and embrace happiness. From meth addicts to multimillionaires, the book offers experiences of individuals who have faced dramatic challenges, but did not lose hope. Using these compelling biographies, as well as practical advice and simple exercises, the reader is guided on an internal journey toward adopting a more joyful way to live, the release states.

The book is available on paperback through Amazon for $14.99. An e-book can be purchased on smashwords.com for $1.99.
