Sparks fly over transparency of Old Town Peoria redevelopment

Opposition speaks out against proposed development agreement

Over the years, the city has undergone a number of attempts to revitalize Old Town Peoria and come up empty-handed.

In its most recent attempt, some residents oppose a new development agreement with  Zonapart LLC/Arizona Partners in Real Estate, arguing it lacked community input.

Opponents of this new agreement, which provides a roadmap for development with conceptual plans to come later, attended the Peoria city council meeting Oct. 25, when the development agreement was scheduled for consideration.
