Southwest Valley freeway project up for discussion Feb. 12 in Phoenix

The Arizona Department of Transportation has scheduled a public meeting on Thursday, Feb. 12, in Phoenix to examine the upcoming State Route 30 project.

The meeting will take place from 5:30 to 7 p.m. in the Western Valley Middle School cafeteria, 6250 W. Durango St., Phoenix.

Construction of the project between Loop 202 and 97th Avenue is scheduled to start in summer 2027. The project is funded through the Maricopa Association of Governments’ Proposition 479 regional transportation plan approved by county voters in 2024, according to a release from the Arizona Department of Transportation.
