Business owners and managers are invited and encouraged to sign-up for the “Support Local” promotional campaign offered by the Southwest Valley Chamber of Commerce.
“This is a free way for businesses and non-profit companies to promote themselves to the entire community,” Southwest Valley Chamber of Commerce President/CEO John Safin stated in a March 20 release. “The chamber is dedicated to supporting businesses, workforce, and community. The Support Local web page gives businesses a way to reach the public and a resource hub for consumers who still need products and services at this most unusual time.”
The chamber’s Support Local hub, www.southwestvalleychamber.org/supportlocal, is categorized by industry to make it easy as possible for anyone to find what they need.
“The business owner could be doing something more than having the doors open,” Mr. Safin stated. “They could be working by telephone or online, taking orders for the future, doing something nice for others, or offering other ways to continue commerce and keep our community strong.”
The offer extends to nonprofit groups and charities. They’re encouraged to include a list of most needed donations or other ways to help.
“Our greatest strength is when we come together as a community,” Mr. Safin stated. “Looking out for each other, being kind, having a positive attitude, focusing on getting things done, remembering good things happen every day.”
