Southwest Phoenix a priority in city’s plans for bus route extension

As Phoenix’s bus ridership rebounds from the coronavirus pandemic, the city plans to add or extend some routes and increase the frequency of others.

It also will analyze its four neighborhood circulator routes to look for possible areas of improvement. Plans include multiple new or extended routes in southwest Phoenix.

As people’s need to leave the house dropped significantly during the pandemic, bus ridership dropped as well. Phoenix bus services did not decline as much as it did in other Valley cities though. Phoenix plans to return bus services that were reduced during the pandemic.
